बाज़ार जब आदमी का
आदमीनामा तय कर रहा हो
जब धरती को स्वप्न की तरह देखने वाली आँखें
एक सही और सार्थक जनतंत्र की प्रतीक्षा में
पथरा गई हों
सभ्यता और उन्नति की आड़ में
जब मानुष को मारने की कला ही
जीवित रही हो
और विकसित हुई हो धरती पर
जब कविता भी
एक गँवार गड़ेडिया के कंठ से निकलकर
पढे-लिखे चालाक आदमी के साथ
अपने मतलब के शहर चली गई हो
और शोहरत बटोर रही हो
तब क्या बचा एक कवि के लिए ?
टटोल रहा हूँ
अपने अंदर प्रतिशब्दों को -
तमाम खालीपन के बीच
गूँथ रहा हूँ उनको एक -एक कर
फिर करुणा और क्रोध की तनी डोरी से
उन कला-पारंगतों और उनके तंत्र के विरोध में
जिसने धरती का सब सोना लूट लिया |
